If you could make a law, what law would you like to make?

This Blog is created for the people interested in serious discussion about making good laws to protect our society.

After all what good is a law if the law is not enforced.

The constitution of our country and our state is the laws that we agree to live by.

What law or laws do you feel are necessary or unnecessary?

This is a link to the Pa Constitution

This is a link to the U.S. Constitution

This could be a thought-provoking blog.

Might I suggest you post a link to the PA Constitution on the site first and foremost.

http://www.paconstitution.duq.edu/

Since your blog asks the people to determine what kind of law "we" would make, one of the items that obviously needs discussed is the form of government guaranteed to each state by the United States Constitution - a republican form.

Will PA move away from this republican form to a direct democracy with the PA Clean Sweep platform for candidates which includes a voter referendum for "salary increases?"

I think it will.

At Vote Fix discussion centers on PA Clean Sweep's Unconstitutional Agenda

Hope you take a look, and I'll be back to check out what is happening here.

Indeed I can post both links to the Pa Constitution as you have it listed, and also the U.S. Constitution...

I will check out your site, after I edit my first post...

That leads me to another problem, what appears first is the last post that I made, the reverse order would actually be preferred, but I don't think that Blogger supports that format?

This does put me in the position of being the Moderator and asking for ideas that I can post...

Thank you for your thoughts, I can edit the first post and make another post that would put the information both first and last, if I do the next post well I can use it as an introductory post moving it up, via copy and paste, thanks for the information.

OK I just reviewed your site Vote Fix...

Webster's Defines Republic as;

1 a) a state or nation in which the supreme power rests in all the citizens entitled to vote (the electorate) and is exercised by representatives elected, directly or indirectly, by them and responsible to them b) the form of government of such a state or nation c) a specified republican regime of a nation !the Fifth Republic of France"

2 any group whose members are regarded as having a certain equality or common aims, pursuits, etc. !the republic of letters"

3 a state or nation with a president as its titular head

4 any of the constituent territorial and political units of the U.S.S.R., Yugoslavia, etc.

Also do you consider that PA Clean Sweep calls for a 'referendum' as defined, as further discussion or to open this discussion to the voters, be they legislative or the voters superceeding the legislative body...

I think the use of referendum might be an ambiguous word, do you have other references to clarify the use of this word?

We can talk about the Republic and the Referendum that the Democratic process requires where the legislators are working for the best interest of the people that they represent, that is the purpose of this Blog and my interest in clarifying what needs to be fixed in our society...

The system is currently broken and needs to be reformed...

A Law is not a Law if the Law is not enforced or enforceable...
